If you could be a dog, what type of dog would you be & why: “I would be a Finnish Lapphund because even though I’m short, I have a big personality! I love to relax and hang out with friends and family, but am always up for a new adventure. I also love colder temps—I am happiest in fall and winter!”
One favorite memory with an animal: “One favorite memory with an animal includes my sweet Norwegian Elkhound, Tolstoy, who has since passed away. My husband and I adopted him as a senior, because his previous owner went into hospice care and could no longer care for him. A month before he passed away, we took him and Katonah to a dog beach in New Jersey, and he had the most wonderful time playing in the water, chasing after seagulls, and making new friends with other dogs. It was such a special day.”
Favorite thing about bringing pets to weddings: “The moment your fur baby spots you—they couldn’t be more excited and it just makes an already incredible day so special to have the entire family all together!!”

If you could be a dog, what type of dog would you be & why: “I would be a Husky, so I could roll around in the snow all day.”
One favorite memory with an animal: “When I was traveling through Tajikistan one summer, I befriended a dog in a remote village. On the day I was leaving, I couldn’t find him (Butterscotch), so I called for him for a while. With no sign of his return, I stopped calling and walked towards the car. Then, out of nowhere, Butterscotch came running over from the shrubs, and I got to have one last cuddle.”
Favorite thing about bringing pets to weddings: “Seeing how happy the couple is to share their special day with their furry companion.”
